Hi Every One

I do not really know from where should I start writing, so I feel that what we have been learning in this term is really useful for all of us especially the blog which gave us the opportunity to improve our writing skills , So I think I am going to write about what do we need to improve our English in general, The main point is that when you decide to learn the new things is usually difficult and the English language is no exception, However with the practice and confident it comes more easier, what you need is relax and take it easy because learning English takes time and patience. Daily practice is very very very important until it becomes a part of your everyday life and do not worry about making mistakes, In fact the more mistakes you make the more you will learn from them. Finally I like to thanks our teachers for thrie supports during the whole terms.

Corrected version- some great language- watch your punctuation. Tom

I do not really know from where should I start writing, so I feel that what we have been learning in this term is really useful for all of us, especially the blog, which gave us the opportunity to improve our writing skills. So I think I am going to write about what we need to do (in order) to improve our English in general. The main point is that when you decide to learn new things, it is usually difficult, and the English language is no exception. However, with the practice and confidence it gets/becomes easier; what you needto do is relax and take it easy because learning English takes time and patience. Daily practice is very very very important until it becomes a part of your everyday life. Do not worry about making mistakes; in fact, the more mistakes you make, the more you will learn from them. Finally, I'd like to thanks our teachers for their support during the whole term.

HCT SEMINAR SERIESThis term is the exception with a fourth seminar scheduled, which will take place today (13th March) at 1:30pm, Interact Lab, Arundel 223. Details below: Presenter: Bernd Ploderer (University of Melbourne)Title: Social Network Sites and the Passion of BodybuildingAbstract: Social network sites like Facebook, LinkedIn or MySpace have attracted millions of people. They use these sites to keep in touch with large networks of friends, to maintain ties with business partners, or to explore interests such as music. In this talk I will discuss the ways in which people appropriate social network sites to pursue interests that have turned into passions. This research is based on a current ethnographic study of bodybuilding, which serves as an example for an extreme passion. I will describe passion as a multi-stage process, starting with the development of an interest to stages where a passion can turn into an obsession. Depending on the stage, social network sites inherit different potentials to support passions. I will discuss the potentials of existing social network sites as well as their limitations and risks. Since this study is work-in-progress I would welcome suggestions on the presentation of the data as well as on opportunities for comparing the findings from bodybuilding with other passions. The HCT seminars normally take place three times per term, on Friday afternoons in the Interact Lab (Arundel 223) at 1:30 and last for an hour. There will be cakes and tea & coffee available afterwards. The seminars are intended for anyone interested in Human Centred Technology; students and researchers in other fields are most welcome.Further information of this and future seminars is available at http://www.informatics.sussex.ac.uk/events/HCTSeminars/.Hope to see you there,Alison Hull & Raphael Commins,HCT Seminar Organisers.

The article is about a blind man sight who describes his life during the last thirty years. Previously he didn’t see light: everything was always is black; now he can see flashing lights and the road lines after he had a surgery seven month ago to fit a bionic eye. The teachings use camera and video which are located on top of class and send the capture image wireless to tiny receivers in out side of eyes. The receiver sends back the images through wires to sensitive area in rear of eyes, and transferred data to the brain for processing. The discovery gives a chance for blind people to see again

Today's online tasks

Good morning

Today I'd like you to read the day's top stories and summarise them or more in this blog (not your own)

Read:

Take notes on paper- key words
Try writing 100 words to describe what the news stories are about. Don't use the same words- use your own.

Discuss: which is the most interesting story and why. Then choose another one or more stories you think are interesting.

Thanks

Tom
